House of the Dragon begins tomorrow: Plot, Schedule

House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel, premieres August 22. GoT’s finale disappointed many fans. House of the Dragon, which launches on Disney+Hotstar, focuses on the Targaryens and the events leading up to the battle of succession, or ‘Dance of the Dragons’.

The series follows Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and her brother Aegon II’s battle for the iron throne following Viserys l’s death. Matt Smith portrays the king’s younger brother, Daemon Targaryen. Smith called their connection “complex.” Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen is portrayed by Emma D’Arcy.
Fire & Blood is the basis for the new series. Martin, who had criticised Game of Thrones, said he thought House of the Dragon “quite spectacular.”
He responded, “These novels, these characters are my kids.” “When you adopt your kids, you worry how they’ll be treated and whether you’ll recognise them.”

House of the Dragon is now on Disney+ Hotstar. First season of GOT prequel has 10 weekly episodes. Mondays at 6:30 IST (Indian Standard Time).
