Marc Da Silva: Brian, thank you for joining me today.

Brian Comer: It’s my pleasure.

Marc Da Silva: You’re one of two brothers who founded Comer Homes over 30 years ago. Can you tell us a bit about how the company started?

Brian Comer: Sure. We started out as a small family business, building houses in Ireland. We quickly realized that there was a demand for high-quality, affordable homes in the UK, so we expanded our operations here. We’ve been growing ever since, and we’re now one of the leading housebuilders in the UK.

Marc Da Silva: What are some of the key factors that have contributed to your success?

Brian Comer: I think there are a few things. First, we always focus on quality. We use the best materials and construction methods, and we never cut corners. Second, we’re very customer-focused. We listen to what our buyers want, and we make sure that our homes meet their needs. Third, we’re always innovating. We’re constantly looking for new ways to improve our homes and our processes.

Marc Da Silva: You mentioned that you’re customer-focused. Can you give us an example of how you’ve put that into practice?

Brian Comer: Sure. We recently launched a new website that allows our buyers to customize their homes. They can choose the layout, the finishes, and even the appliances. This gives them a lot of control over the final product, and it makes them feel more involved in the process.

Marc Da Silva: You’ve also done some interesting work in the area of refurbishment and regeneration. Can you tell us about that?

Brian Comer: Yes, we’re very passionate about regeneration. We believe that it’s important to bring old buildings back into use, and to create vibrant new communities. We’ve done a number of projects in this area, including the Royal Connaught Park scheme in Bushey, Hertfordshire. This was a former Royal Masonic School that had fallen into disrepair. We completely restored the building and converted it into apartments. It’s now a thriving community with a mix of residents, including families, young professionals, and retirees.

Marc Da Silva: What are your plans for the future?

Brian Comer: We’re very excited about the future. We’re planning to expand our operations into new markets, and we’re also developing some innovative new products. We believe that there’s a huge demand for high-quality, affordable homes, and we’re committed to meeting that demand.

Marc Da Silva: Thank you very much for your time, Brian.

Brian Comer: It was my pleasure.
