Apex Legends System Requirements & More 2024

Apex Legends: Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have released Apex Legends, a free-to-play battle royale-hero shooting game. It was released in June 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One; in June 2021 for Nintendo Switch; and in June June for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Apex Legends Mobile, a touchscreen-optimized mobile version of the game, will be available for Android and iOS in June. The game is cross-platform compatible.

Players establish two-or three-player squads before the game and choose from pre-designed characters with unique skills known as “Legends.” There are two game modes in this game. Up to 20 three-person squads or 30 two-person duos land on an island in “Battle Royale,” searching for weapons and supplies before attempting to combat all other players.

The island’s accessible play area diminishes with time, forcing players to keep moving or risk becoming trapped outside the play area, which can be deadly. In “Arenas,” participants divide into three-player squads and compete in a 3v3 team deathmatch over a number of rounds to determine the match’s winner. Teams win when they have at least 3 points and are ahead by 2 points.

Fade’s ultimate ability is Phase Chamber, which lets him to toss an explosive core that disables everyone within a certain radius from dealing or receiving damage. Fade is available at Tier 25.

In Arena mode, there’s also a new Overflow map and new weaponry including the heatshield, 30-30 marksman rifle, and 4x-10x thermal imaging optic scope. Other features include team-fill (which automatically fills a new player in-game in team Deathmatch mode).

Controversies

With the start of the “Iron Crown” event in August 2019, the developers added a number of cosmetic items to the game. The majority of these goods could only be gotten by purchasing loot boxes, and the most desired item (a cosmetic axe for one of the player characters) could only be earned after obtaining 24 other purchasable items at an additional fee.
