The most recent Android beta version suggests including support for embedding GIFs and animated emoticons in the comments for a more recent instance. It also includes a few new features to improve the quality of life.
The official changelog of the most recent beta:
- Spoiler, NSFW (not suitable in the workplace) tags can be added when creating or editing posts.
- This can be done by clicking the “More” (three horizontal dots) button below the keyboard.
- The new ‘Account Settings page’ to the ‘Settings screen
- Minor corrections to bugs and improvements to performance
The three images below demonstrate the new features accessible with the latest update from the left side to the right. When you first start creating or editing the content of a post, click the three dots menu at the bottom left corner to show buttons that label the post as inappropriate (not suitable for work) or contain spoilers.
Then, you’ll find a brand new section for Account settings in Settings, and in this, you’ll be able to manage all of the Reddit Profile’s options similar to the desktop or mobile sites.
