MediaTek Launches 7200
MediaTek uses their midrange chips with the Dimensity 9200 CPU. The first chip in its upgraded 7000 series, the Dimensity 7200, will be in phones soon.
MediaTek Dimensity 7200: Why? The Dimensity 7200 is made using the same 4nm technology as the Dimensity 9200 by MediaTek and TSMC. This implies it should get several of the 9200’s power and efficiency increases.
About MediaTek Dimensity 7200
The Dimensity 9200’s MediaTek AI Processing Unit (APU) and two 2.8GHz ARM Cortex A715 cores power this octa-core CPU. MediaTek’s Imagiq 765 ISP handles the camera, while the Mali G610 GPU handles graphics. Since the Dimensity 9000, MediaTek’s HyperEngine 5.0 has reduced latency, improved CPU and GPU responsiveness, and increased battery efficiency while playing games.
MediaTek Dimensity 7200: Dual-capture and 200-megapixel cameras are supported by the microprocessor. AI-based picture upgrades, portrait mode beauty settings, and low-light noise reduction are also supported. HDR10+, Dolby HDR, 144Hz refresh rates, and Full HD+ resolutions are all included in the Dimensity 7200’s display. Manufacturers require the Dimensity 1050 for Sub-6 and mmWave, but the chip supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 and connects to Sub-6 5G networks.
What is Mediatek Saying?
