Given the recent news about the US election, CD Project Red appears to be copying Cyberpunk 2077 with all its goodies. As one of the most hyped video games ever, a collector’s edition seems fitting to celebrate its recent release. If you haven’t joined in on the cyberpunk hype yet and are thinking about doing so, consider picking it up – available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

At present, Australian retailers are currently out of stock of the Cyberpunk 2077 Collectors Edition. This double-whammy of limited availability and high cost ensures that this special edition provides plenty of exclusive items as well as the game itself. But this wasn’t the only hefty collector’s edition unveiled at E3 this year – there was another equally attractive physical option available too.
With both PS4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077, you get a hardcover art book, city night guide, key fob with replica of Quadra-V Tech Model V sitting atop motorcycle, stickers, pins, postcards, and other cyberpunk memorabilia. Both limited editions contain art books, steel books, various stickers patches key chains postcard compendium instructions on how to play plus everything else you could possibly desire!
This special edition is an impressive offering, but the lack of a option to purchase Cyberpunk for last-gen consoles seems odd at this point. I suspect it’s done to let Next-Gen owners know they can play the game on their fancy new hardware (I should have read the warning not to load it onto an outdated PS4).
Last month, both digital storefronts and physical retailers processed refunds for Cyberpunk 2077’s console version from developer CD Projekt Red. These included the $250 Collectors Edition games, with one case where CDPR issued a refund to the customer who returned them. Vice Games reported that pre-ordering the game is the way to go if you want to save some money as rare and exciting E3 titles like special editions that will go on sale during the fair are still in progress even if they are out of stock.
Cyberpunk 2077 Collectors Edition can now be pre-ordered in the UK. Available versions for PS4, Xbox One and PC are listed on Amazon as being among the cheapest Steelbook editions. This set includes a box containing all collectibles made of steel; an 10-inch statue of protagonist V; hardcover art book; metal pen set; Quadra-V Tech key fob; annotated copy of Night City visitor’s guide; sealed NCPD evidence bag with embroidered patches; world compendium featuring detailed game scenes and traditions; postcard with Night City map; sticker; plus bomb set!
The Collector’s Edition includes a 25 cm statue of the protagonist in action. This depicts him leaping off his motorcycle as it crashes into Corpo, one of many games featuring hostile beings.
This game draws inspiration from several cyberpunk works such as Blade Runner (1982), the Japanese manga and anime series Ghost in the Shell, System Shock (1994) and Deus Ex (2000). You play as a mercenary equipped with cybernetic enhancements that grant your character access to various skillsets.
In addition to the standard edition, there is also a limited collectors edition. This comes in an attractive box with many cool extras such as steel book, figurines, hardcover artbook, embroidered patches, metal pen, key chains and more – all packed neatly inside a small cardboard box in a care package.
At E3 this year, CD Projekt unveiled a CD that looked like a collector’s edition of Cyberpunk 2077. I couldn’t open it before finishing the game, but was delighted to see tiny Dark Horse brochures for many other games included as well as an art book with over 200 pages of art and text. And those who enjoy stickers will delight in the substantial selection included with this collection!
Cyberpunk 2077 is finally set for release on December 10th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One after years of delays. Eight years of hard work put into developing Cyberpunk 2077 have finally paid off for Polish video game company CD Projekt. Created by CD Projekt Red – the same studio behind The Witcher series – the game is an intense open-world role-playing shooter set in a futuristic city at night.
