Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Expansion: After over two years after the game’s debut, CD Projekt could finally be preparing to reveal a fresh DLC update for the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 was launched in 2020 to performance concerns and console glitches. CD Projekt Red placed all DLC plans on hold until it fixed the game. Now, it looks the business may release a new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC expansion.
Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Expansion
Information on the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Expansion plot leaked this year, although the release date is uncertain. Cyberpunk 2077’s Twitter account may have dropped a clue this month. It responded to YouTuber Varion, who asked when CD Projekt Red’s next game would get DLC. This Tweet may have teased a Gamescom announcement.
CD Projekt Red said Cyberpunk 2077’s DLC marketing will begin in 2022 around the time of the DLC leak. The corporation has been correcting the game’s faults for a year and a half to rebuild its reputation. The game’s last patch was 1.52, although 1.6 is in the works.
After finishing the game, the firm will commence The Witcher 4 development. If this Tweet is any indication, the firm may add additional material to the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 was bug-ridden upon release. Players experienced so many bugs it’s impossible to document them all. Soon after Cyberpunk 2077’s release, CD Projekt Red revealed a repair plan. As mentioned above, the game has been patched several times since its release, though whether the game is worth playing in its current state is up to the individual. At this point, however, it’s not entirely clear if any of this will be enough to restore the public’s trust in the company.
Cyberpunk 2077 DLC Expansion: In late 2019/early 2020, CD Projekt Red’s stock prices skyrocketed thanks to a new surge of The Witcher game sales due to the release of the Netflix show of the same name. Unfortunately, the next year, the stock prices dropped roughly 75% due Cyberpunk 2077’s botched launch, and the long term consequences of this mistake remain to be seen. Whether new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is announced at Gamescom or not, it is clear that the company will have an uphill battle for some time.
