What Is MI ACCOUNT AUTHORIZATION?
What is Mi Account Authorization? This is another security measure implemented by Xiaomi Developers Team to add another layer of protection. This prevents anyone from flashing MIUI ROM onto a device using Download Mode (EDL) or Test-Point method, as doing so may bypass locked bootloader protection.
Due to users being able to bypass “bootloader unlock” permission and flash an MIUI ROM through Test-point mode, Xiaomi put such authorization in place.
Only users with an authorized Mi account are authorized to flash through EDL/Test-point Mode. This means that anyone with a Mi account does not possess this permission, even if they have permission to unlock the bootloader. Why? Since flashing through this mode does not necessitate an unlocked bootloader on New Model Mi accounts.
Note: With MI authorization, these Files can be used to unlock FRP & MI account on Redmi 6 and Redmi 7 series phones.
