Will smith apology statement
This comes after Will Smith officially addressed the slap heard ’round the globe on social media for the first time since October, when he released an initial apology statement. This comes after a few weeks in which Will Smith finally addressed the slap heard ’round the world.
After receiving the smack, he answered by saying, “Um, I was fogged out by that time.” Everything seems to be a haze, though. I made an effort to get in touch with Chris, but I got the sense that he isn’t quite ready to open up just yet and that he will get in touch with me when he is ready to do so. I’ll just come right out and say it: I’m sorry to you, Chris. That’s all there is to it. Please accept my sincere apology for the unforgivable behavior I displayed and know that I am available whenever you are ready to have a mature discussion.
Will proceeded by saying, “There is not one single ounce of me that believes it was the acceptable way to act under those circumstances.” To me, that is not the ideal way to deal with hurt sentiments or insults that have been directed toward me.
In continuation of his apology, Smith stated that he was sorry to Rock’s mother and family, including Tony Rock, and that he had no idea “how many people got harmed” during the incident. Smith then apologized to Tony Rock.
