ivo S1 is all set to launch in India next week on August 7. Ahead of the launch, almost everything has been revealed about the phone by the company. The only mystery right now is the price of the Vivo S1. Some rumours suggest that the India price of the Vivo S1 will start at Rs 17,990. Vivo is yet to officially confirm the price of the phone. Just a few days ahead of the launch the Vivo S1 goes on pre-orders in the country today but it’s only on offline stores. The online pre-order is yet to kick off.

According to a report coming from 91Mobiles, the Vivo S1 pre-orders have started today and will continue until August 7 — that is the launch date of the phone. To pre-order, the Vivo S1 consumers will need to make a downpayment of Rs 2,000. The remaining amount can be paid after the Vivo S1 is launched in the country and the price of the phone is announced. The same report reveals that the Vivo S1 will go on sale via offline stores at 6 PM on August 7. The online sale date is yet to be revealed.

In India, the smartphone is expected to launch in three variants. Rumours suggest in India Vivo S1 will be available in — 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage and 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. Notably, only the 4GB + 128GB variant of the Vivo S1 is available for pre-orders in India.

Past rumours revealed that the base model of the Vivo S1 with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost Rs 17,990. The second model of the Vivo S1 with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage is said to cost around Rs 19,990. Lastly, the top-end model of the phone with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 24,990. The new report, however, suggests a different story. It suggests that the Vivo S1 India price will start at around Rs 15,000. The report further reveals that on pre-booking the phone HDFC card users will get cashback of up to 7.5 per cent, up to Rs 2,500 cashback on payments made via Paytm, among other things.

In India, the Vivo S-series is said to focus on both offline and online like the V series. The recently announced Vivo Z series is online centric lineup. Under the Z series Vivo recently launched the Vivo Z1 Pro in India for starting price of Rs 14,990 and the phone is selling like hotcakes in the country. With the Vivo Z1 Pro the company is aiming to take on the likes of the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the Realme X, and now also the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019.
