Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem 2023 Release Date

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem: Seth Rogen and Nickelodeon will make a new TMNT movie in 2023. The project was revealed in August 2020, but the Superbad star has now published a cryptic tweet about it.

The scribbles, apparently from Leonardo’s diary, include the movie’s August 11, 2023 release date and references to Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, and reporter April O’Neil.
Jeff Rowe, co-director of The Mitchells vs. The Machines, will direct the film from a script by Brendan O’Brien, according to Variety. Rogen starred in and produced Bad Neighbors alongside Evan Goldberg and James Weaver.

TMNT Mutant Mayhem: We know what kind of comedy to anticipate. Rogen told Collider in 2020 that “the ‘Teenage’ aspect of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles always struck out to [him] as a longtime fan,” so may we see a Superbad-esque spin on the comic book franchise?

Restarting… the Reboot?

TMNT Mutant Mayhem: Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello are movie veterans. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) began as a 1984 comic book and has subsequently spawned animated TV shows and movies. Michael Bay produced two CGI-heavy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies in the 2010s to give the characters fresh vitality.

Say what you will about the franchise’s slapstick comedy and its refusal to end, but its flicks have generated more than $1.2 billion worldwide, so Rogen and co. are ready to bet on Leonardo and his reptile brethren. No news yet on the movie’s cast or if Rogen himself will feature, but we anticipate more information as 2023 approaches.
