Valve ended their Lunar New Year deal with this sale. A Spring sale, replacing the Lunar New Year one, will commence on March 16, 2023. In explaining why they are canceling this offer, Valve stated:
“For years, we’ve heard complaints that the Lunar New Year fell too close to the December holiday shopping season. Even with specialized discounting solutions available, many publishers will likely choose to provide discounts on games in celebration of this special occasion.”
However, “we believe customers will benefit from a slightly longer wait between large Steam-wide seasonal promotions.”

Soon, Steam Deck’s designer Pierre-Loup Griffais confirmed to The Verge that their next generation will not improve upon previous models.
Pierre-Loup Griffais, a Steam Deck designer, stated, “We believe we should maintain the current performance level for some time and only consider increasing it when there is significant potential gain to be had.”
