Since obtaining or encountering one is so rare (less than 3%), Niantic provided Trainers with a list of possible disguises as an aid. Many Trainers experienced problems with Ditto in the past, where another Shiny Pokemon might convert into Ditto when caught. However, this issue has been resolved, & Trainers no longer need to be concerned about their flawless Shiny Pokemon evolving into a Ditto.
If you come across a Shiny Pokemon that belongs on Ditto’s list of disguises, bear in mind that it cannot & will not transform into Ditto if you catch it.
