Once more we have come to this momentous point in the year: MTV Video Music Awards nominees were just released and their show will take place on October 1.

Fans have until Friday October 19 to submit their votes in 22 non gendered categories such as Video of the Year Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X and Kendrick Lamar each earned seven nominations this year – making them the artists with the highest total count overall.

Who will perform in event?

Even though no official list has yet been unveiled it is expected that several nominees will participate in some form.

Who will host the event?

No one knows exactly who will host this year’s event, yet no doubt the host must live up to Doja Cat’s stellar hosting performance in 2017. Soon we hope to learn who it will be as well as see an announcement regarding performers as soon as possible.

How Can I Watch?

The Video Music Awards will air live this year across both MTV and CW Network at 8 pm Eastern time (5 pm Pacific). As with the previous two years, coverage of this year’s VMAs will alternate between both networks; including BET Her and Comedy Central as well as CMT, Comedy Central Logo MTV2 Nickelodeon Paramount Network Pop TV Land VH1.
