iPhone 13 Pro Max Review: Everything you need to know

iPhone 13 Pro Max Review: Buy this iPhone for battery and camera. The iPhone 13 Pro Max features the longest-lasting battery of any iPhone Apple has ever built. This phone is enormous and pricey, but it’s a good value. Some changes appear small – we failed to extract much from the 120Hz ProMotion display and Cinematic mode will be soon forgotten – but the low light camera is fantastic, the power onboard outstrips any phone on the market for hard workloads, and it has a coherent user interface and app experience. This is a huge, long-lasting iPhone.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is no longer the greatest iPhone on the market; upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. New gadget boasts always-on display, 48MP primary camera, no notch, and updated processor.
The 14 Pro Max’s predecessor isn’t awful. It has a long battery life, great cameras, and understated, tasteful hues. This is one of the top smartphones in the globe.
If you’re a fledgling (or professional) filmmaker, you can load this phone to the brim with material.

iPhone 13 Pro Max Design

If you’re considering the iPhone 13 Pro Max, you know it’s a big phone. Huge. You desire screen, battery, and are willing to forgo feel in the hand for it.

Let’s examine its construction. The iPhone 12’s stainless steel outer band mimics the iPad Pro’s design from the past several years.
We miss the iPhone 6’s curved rear after a year. The iPhone 13 Pro Max’s sharper, more industrial-looking edges are grippier, but it’s less pleasant to hold.

Speaking of comfort, unless you have enormous hands, the iPhone 13 Pro Max might be difficult to use.

iPhone 13 Pro Max Display

iPhone 13 Pro Max Review: The iPhone 13 Pro Max’s 6.7-inch display has three main changes: a reduced notch, a screen that refreshes at up to 120Hz (for better scrolling and transitions), and enhanced brightness outside.

The lowered size of the notch is the most evident of the three, and although it’s great, it doesn’t really improve the iPhone design — there’s still a notch intruding on your movies and games, when other companies are dabbling with smaller punch-holes and even invisible cameras.

iPhone 13 Pro Max finally decent battery life

iPhone 13 Pro Max Review: The iPhone 13 Pro Max’s battery life is the main incentive to purchase it.

The idea of having an iPhone with respectable battery life would draw masses of customers to this model.

Why is the iPhone 13 Pro Max battery so popular? It’s sturdy. We put the phone off charge at 7:30am, and only managed to kill it by 4am the following day by downloading two big games. That’s 35 hours of battery life.
We tested the iPhone 11 Pro Max side-by-side, streaming YouTube at maximum brightness for 2 hours and 20 minutes. The previous model (which has been used for over a year, so battery deterioration is expected) decreased to 81%, while the new Pro Max plummeted to 91%.

Even if you were fair to the older iPhone, that’s a huge battery management gap.

On a super-hard day of testing, which included using the camera for hours, running about with Spotify playing in the background, making phone calls, running a YouTube test, and messing with the phone, we only got 14 hours of usage before charging.

iPhone 13 Pro Max Camera

iPhone 13 Pro Max Review: While the battery life is the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s main selling point, the camera is a close second. While the enhancements are merely changes from the iPhone 12 Pro Max, they make it one of the greatest camera phones available.

The main camera (which Apple calls the Wide camera, confusingly) has a 12MP sensor with larger 1.9m pixels on the largest sensor Apple’s ever put in a smartphone to absorb even more light, which combined with an f/1.5 aperture allows you to capture some seriously impressive low-light images, as you’ll see in the samples below.

The Ultra Wide sensor (which zooms out from the main image) has also been upgraded. The megapixel count is 12MP, which is the same as last year, but it now packs Apple’s Night Mode functionality, allowing the phone to take some breathtaking photos in near-pitch black situations, as long as you can hold the handset perfectly still for the necessary amount of time.
The Telephoto lens can now zoom in three times optically, rather than digitally, for a clearer picture. That’s a good enhancement, although optical 2x zoom might be preferred occasionally.

The zoom distance is fixed, but the iPhone’s processor cleans up the digital zoom well.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max takes better shots than previous year’s model.

Purchase it if..

  • You want an iPhone with great battery life: Apple finally produced a phone with good battery life. You might be irritated that it’s taken so long – and it has – or happy that you can forget to charge your iPhone overnight without worrying.
  • You need the power: Only a small subset of users will benefit from the A15 chipset’s performance, but if you’re a gamer or creative who likes to manipulate images or video, this is a fantastic phone.
  • You want a camera that easily spits out great photos: The iPhone 13 Pro Max is one of the world’s top camera phones, providing crisp and vibrant photographs with an excellent auto macro option and a simple UI that gives dozens of ways to enhance your shots.

don’t purchase it If…

  • You have small hands: This may seem apparent, but most people can’t stretch a thumb across this display one-handed, and it’s easy to drop. Want a little phone? Stay Away!
  • You’re on a budget: The greatest iPhone costs a much each year. iOS 15 compatibility means cheaper and older Apple phones provide similar functionality.
  • You hate putting a phone in a case: While we haven’t observed a scratch or dent in testing, last year’s 12 Pro Max had abrasions, so we suggest a case.
