FF14 Emergency Maintenance to fix house issue
The Final Fantasy XIV servers will be going down for some unexpected maintenance, Square Enix said. This is the case because of the housing lottery issue that arose after Final Fantasy XIV was released. As of 13:30 on April 20, 2022 (JST/7:30 a.m.), the scheduled maintenance window is from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Even though Square Enix hasn’t said when the maintenance will end, you can access the servers again once the problem has been fixed. There was a glitch in the system, so the deadline for announcing the winners of the second housing lottery’s plots was pushed back.
The previous entry suggested that the housing lottery was a contributing factor to Final Fantasy XIV’s unexpected downtime. After the first round of lottery winners were chosen, the two separate bugs manifested themselves. Naoki Yoshida, the show’s producer, dove right in to the examination of these flaws and issued a statement about the lottery function.
Square Enix asked users to buy a plot for which they had bid so that it could be fixed quickly. However, once the remedy is implemented, the developer has promised that no negative effects will be seen by the players. This includes the risk of having their newly acquired homes foreclosed on.
