Chris Hemsworth, Miles Teller’s Spiderhead: About
Spiderhead, the next Netflix sci-fi film, has received an explosive new trailer, and it’s a doozy. In what will be a feature that dives into the acceptable limits to which science and human experimentation can go before crossing the line, several stars will take centre stage. The film, which is based on a George Saunders short story published in the New Yorker in 2010, will follow Steve Abnesti, a boundary-pushing scientist (Chris Hemsworth). Abnesti works with inmates in Spiderhead, a top-secret prison where he experiments with various forms of rehabilitation, including pharmaceuticals and mind control. While Abnesti and his study team strive to improve the mental and physical behavior of their test subjects, these scientific speculations can sometimes backfire, leaving everyone involved with a massive clean-up job.
