Caleb Leblanc : Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy took the life of Caleb Leblanc a 13-year-old YouTube star with over 7.24 million followers, on October 1, 2015. On October 5th, his family posted on Instagram to notify his passing.
How Did Caleb Leblanc Die
Caleb was suffering from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a hereditary condition in which the heart muscle becomes thickened, making it harder for it to pump blood. Unfortunately, HCM often goes undetected until someone passes away from it – an illness which may run in families or be hereditary.
Following this incident, other family members were diagnosed with health issues; caleb’s sisters appear to be fine and his heart appears healthy, the post read. On October 17th 2015 the Bratayleys will hold a memorial service for Caleb which will be livestreamed on their YouTube channel.
“The pain of losing someone you cherish is unbearable. Thank you to all who have reached out; your kindness and support continue to lift our family up every day,” the post reads. “We miss our baked potato every day.”
News of Caleb’s sudden passing caused shockwaves across social media. Since 2010, his family has been YouTube stars, sharing daily videos about their daily life on the platform. With his passing, many fans took to the platform to express their condolences and mourn his loss.
The family’s statement claimed that despite this tragedy, everyone else in the family has been checked out, including Caleb’s two sisters, who both look to be in good condition and whose hearts are functioning normally. A memorial ceremony for Caleb will be held by the Bratay leys on October 17, 2015, and it will be broadcast live on their YouTube channel.
