The release date for few VR games is yet unknown. Even if it’s only Half-Life: Alyx, a relationship between PlayStation and Valve would be huge for PS VR2.
The game is a precursor to Half-Life 2. The VR game was designed to operate with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, but it was marketed alongside Valve’s first-party VR headgear, the Valve Index. Valve didn’t bring Half-Life: Alyx to PS4 VR. It didn’t rule out a port but prioritised PC.
The newest leak, via The Leak, says Valve and PlayStation have secured an agreement on the game. Sony will publish the game on PS5 in 2023, according to a leak.

Half-Life: Alyx won’t be a PS VR2 launch release, the report says. PS VR2 won’t be released until the first half of 2023. The game might be released in autumn or winter 2023. The game as a PS VR2 launch game would be important, therefore a delayed release would suggest more porting effort.
Half-Life: Alyx on PS VR2 is huge for virtual reality gaming. It is the biggest VR game release to date and a good illustration of what VR can do. More people will get to experience Half-Life: Alyx, which is great.
