Brahmastra, directed by Ayan Mukerji and released in cinemas last December to much anticipation, was met with stunning visual effects. Director Ayan Mukherji has chosen only the finest visual effects team for his masterpiece.

Plus: The visual effects studio behind Dune’s visuals has previously contributed to major titles like Endgame and Stranger Things, earning them an Academy Award for their remarkable performance in Dune.

Meet Brahmastra VFX’s Creative Team

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Brahmastra, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan in its cast. DNEG has contributed its expertise for visual effects to help this ambitious venture; Namit Malhotra founded both DNEG and Prime Focus Limited with this in mind.

For SS Rajamouli’s RRR, this studio previously handled the visual effects. Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion both featured work from them.

The visual effects team at DNEG did not stop with their Oscar success. Some of its other noteworthy projects include Inception, Interstellar, Ex Machina and Blade Runner 2049. Furthermore, they created visual effects for the hit television show Stranger Things as well.

According to DNA, Ayan has given his London team the green light to begin work on visual effects as soon as possible. He wanted a core group of professionals working on it since outsourcing could increase the risk of leaks; five members of his crew are the only ones with access to tape.”
