Ocarina of Time: Unreal Engine 5 Fan Remake Footage

Ocarina of Time: One individual is recreating The Legend of Zelda. CryZENx is presently reconstructing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 5.

The initial release of one of the top 3D games of the 90s helped gaming enter a new era. So it’s not unexpected that someone wants to recreate this 25-year-old game.

The developer has uploaded a new video displaying everything they’ve done thus far. Given the technology it’s being developed with, the next Ocarina of Time looks spectacular, with more detailed graphics and excellent water effects and lighting. Despite being updated, the game still looks like the original N64 version, making it readily recognised.

CryZENx is working on a remake. A few months back, they published films displaying OcarinaofTime on Unreal Engine 5, exhibiting water effects and lighting. The developer has a Patreon website where supporters may test an early version of the remake. There’s no release date yet, but things seem good.

CryZENx hasn’t merely used UE5. They also shared Unreal Engine 4 video of Ocarina of Time’s co-op mode. It reimagines the almost 24-year-old game as something more modern, giving it a visual pop without losing the traditional RPG’s appearance and feel.

Unreal Engine is a strong game creation engine used for more than fan remakes. The upcoming Witcher game, Layers of Fears, Redfall, and Tomb Raider use Epic’s engine.
