Deadpool 3: Ryan Reynolds confirms Hugh Jackman will portray Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Deadpool 3. Additionally, Deadpool’s MCU premiere will include a familiar face and an unexpected announcement.
Jackman was expected to conclude his X-Men character arc, which began with 2000’s X-Men. However, just like Patrick Stewart returned as Charles Xavier for Doctor Strange in Multiverse of Madness, Jackman has returned for Deadpool 3.

Reynolds tweeted, “We are disappointed to have missed D23, but we’ve been hard at work on the next ‘Deadpool’ feature.”
Jackman walks past the frame as Reynolds inquires if he wants to reprise his role as Wolverine. Reluctantly, Jackman agrees and signs on. Jackman’s casting serves to further distinguish Deadpool’s MCU debut.
Hugh Jackman will always remain my hero, channeling Whitney Houston’s iconic line “I Will Always Love You.” Expect news of “Coming Hughn” and an official release date soon enough – barring any classic Reynolds joke.
Deadpool 3 Release date
Deadpool 3 will finally fill that void left by Blade and the much-awaited Fantastic Four revival, coming out November 6th 2024 and featuring Ryan Reynolds returning as Deadpool. Even if it takes two years for fans to see Jackman return in this role, it will definitely be worth waiting for!
