Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti: Nvidia officially unveiled the RTX 4070 Ti at CES 2023. It will be available for purchase on January 5 and will cost $799 (£799, or AU$1,170).
We don’t want to imply that this new graphics card is a wolf in sheep’s clothing in a negative sense. Before Nvidia made a U-turn and decided to “unlaunch” the card, acknowledging that the name was unclear since another RTX 4080 already existed, the Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti was initially scheduled to be released as the RTX 4080 12GB.
However, it’s encouraging to note that this card is now $100 cheaper than the RTX 4080 12GB’s $899 (£899, around AU$1,315) initial retail price. Although $799 isn’t quite what we’d call a “midrange” pricing, the cheaper price will probably cause this card to sell out just as quickly as the very popular RTX 4090.

NVIDIA released the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti on January 3, 2023. The 4 nm-processed, AD104-400-A1 card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. GeForce RTX 4070 Ti can run all contemporary games. DirectX 12 Ultimate supports hardware-raytracing, variable-rate shading, and more in forthcoming games.
AD104 is a 295 mm2 device with 35,800 million transistors. 7680 shading units, 240 texture mapping units, 80 ROPs. 240 tensor cores speed up machine learning apps. It contains 60 raytracing cores. GeForce RTX 4070 Ti includes 12 GB GDDR6X RAM and a 192-bit memory interface from NVIDIA. GPU runs at 2310 MHz and may be increased to 2610 MHz, RAM at 1313 MHz (21 Gbps effective).
Dual-slot GeForce RTX 4070 Ti requires 285 W from 1x 16-pin power connection. 1x HDMI 2.1, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a. GeForce RTX 4070 Ti connects via PCI-Express 4.0 x16. 285 mm x 112 mm x 42 mm, dual-slot cooling. Launch price was $799.
