Blade Game: Ubisoft’s Blade video game is rumoured to join the Marvel video game universe. Mahershala Ali will portray the stoic day walker in the MCU; will there be a game?
Along with Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine, we’ve seen Marvel’s Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as an impending release from Uncharted’s Amy Hennig. Others hope Blade will receive his own game despite appearing in Midnight Suns.

A Blade game is being developed by Ubisoft?
JorRaptor on YouTube observed recent postings pointing to a Ubisoft Blade game. Edwin Gaffney posted photos of himself conducting motion capture at Ubisoft. He didn’t specify Blade, but there was a “marvel” marking.
The marking also said B. Tariq, the director. It wasn’t hard to connect the connections given that Bassam Tariq is directing the MCU’s Blade movie starring Ali. Finally, Gaffney’s tweet depicted him and fellow actor Alex Martin brandishing katanas – which are Blade’s hallmark choice of weapon.

Ubisoft dampened expectations for a Blade project. Ubisoft tweeted, “Sorry to slice up the rumours, we’re not producing a Blade game but we can’t wait to see what @MarvelStudios is cooking up for next year’s movie!”
Do we get a Blade game?
Ubisoft isn’t planning on a Blade game, but the MCU may inspire one. If Insomniac constructs a Marvel Gaming Universe (fingers crossed), Blade would be a popular pick.
Vampire games like Bloodhunt, Redfall, and V Rising are popular. Castlevania may return. Skulking as Blade sounds entertaining, particularly like Bloodborne. No game is currently under development. Ouch.
